The tour will demonstrate you two unique natural phenomena that are included in the seven wonders of Kazakhstan, these are Kaindy Lake and Charyn Canyon, two wonders during one day trip; the Kaindy is a young lake that is a little over 100 years old, otherwise this place is called a flooded forest, due to the fact that in the place where the lake is now there had been coniferous forest and after the lake was filled with trunks, the trees remained in the lake looking incredibly beautiful. The Charyn Canyon is also one of the wonders of Kazakhstan and it fascinates with its landscapes and ages because it is more than 12 million years old, the length of the canyon is as much as 154 km and on this tour you will see the most beautiful 3 km of the canyon.

Kaindy lake trip includes:

Departure from Almaty

Early in the morning, at about 6-7 a.m, the driver will pick you up from the appointed address and take to the Kaindy Lake (300 km, around 5 h), along the way you will have a stop near the market in the village of Baiseit where you can buy snacks and drinks

Arrival to the Kaindy Lake

Upon arrival, the trip will begin from the parking lot (around 1.5-2 h), it will take 3 km trekking to the lake, the observation spot and to the river where it flows into the lake, you can swim here, the water in the lake is very cold, about 6 degrees Celsius, so if you do not be afraid of cold water, then take a swimsuit with you

Visiting the Saty village

After Kaindy Lake you will go to the village of Saty (14 km, about 30 min), here you will have lunch at the guest house of the local family

Visiting the Charyn Canyon

After lunch, you will go to the Charyn Canyon (100 km, approximately 1.5-2 hours), upon arrival, an excursion will begin from the parking lot (trekking - 3 km), at the end of the valley the Charyn river flows where you can cool off in hot weather, if you don't want to walk back, you can use a local taxi car to take you back to the parking lot

Return to Almaty

After a walking in the Charyn canyon, you will go back to the city (220 km, approximately 2.5 hours), upon arrival the driver will leave you at the agreed place in the city

Length: 635 km, approximately 9 hours

Total tour time: 13 hours

Season: all seasons (best time April-October)
