A two-day tour to the Assy plateau. During this trip you will visit the observatory that is located high in the mountains, although you won't be able to go inside the observatory as it is prohibited but it doesn't matter, the views are much more interesting where it is located, this place looks like to heaven on earth, mountains on a plain with beautiful alpine meadows, the road along the Assy plateau is one of the most beautiful. Breathtaking places that shows the real untouched nature, Assy has been known since ancient times as a summer pasture, and still in these places shepherds keep a large number of livestock, along the road there are yurts where shepherds live who raise livestock on these lands.

First day
Departure from Almaty - Bear Waterfall - Assy Observatory - Assy Plateau
- Departure from Almaty (in the morning), to the Turgen gorge (80 km - about 1.5 hours)
- Arrival in Turgen (the Medvezhiy (Bear) waterfall), trekking part (2 km, 1.5 hours)
- Departure to Turgen cafe (8km about 15 minutes), lunch
- Departure to the Assy observatory (20 km, about 1 hour), walking time (1 hour)
- Departure along the picturesque road of the Assy plateau to the Red rocks (50 km, approximately 3 hours)
- Arrival to the red rocks, setting up the camp, dinner, campfire, overnight in a tent
Length: 100 km, Total time: 6 hours
- Departure from Almaty (in the morning), to the Turgen gorge (80 km - about 1.5 hours)

The Assy Plateau (breakfast at the camp) - Lake Bartogay - Return to Almaty
- Breakfast at the camp
- Departure to the Lake Bartogay along the picturesque road Assy Plateau to Lake Bartogay (50km, 3 hours)
- Arrival to Lake Bartogay, walking part (1-2 hours)
- Departure from the Baiseit village (60 km, approximately 1 hour), lunch in a cafe
- Return to Almaty (110 km, approximately 1.5 hours); the driver will leave you at the appointed address
Season: May-October
The route can be changed or supplemented according to your desire; If you want to see an attraction that is not listed in this program, please contact us - we will definitely try to resolve this and tell you about all the possible options.
Options: On the 1st day, you can watch the Issyk Lake in addition to or instead of the Bear waterfall. On the 2nd day, instead of Baiseit village, you can go to the Charyn Canyon and have lunch there. It is also possible to shorten the tour and see the Assy plateau in 1 day
